Information

School Training Policy Class 4, 5/7

Instructor can observe student, take notes, and record student using a dash cam at any point of the training. 

Student gives a permission to use students pictures for advertising purposes, if we made some. 

To book a session, a fee of minimum 1 session is required. All fees must be paid prior or on the day when the service is provided. (E-transfer to yetirds@gmail.com or online payment). To sign up for GLP, the payment must be provided to DriveWise BC in full.

All packages must be paid in full before or during the first (1) lesson.

For our students from Fort St. John, Chetwynd, and Tumbler Ridge, we are willing to train you in your community if minimum 3 students are present that day; otherwise, a student will have to come to Dawson Creek. For better progress, some lessons must be taken in Dawson Creek.

Road Test Rental available ONLY for YETI students with sufficient skills. If you have not completed any lessons with YETI, you do not qualify for this service. The number of lessons depends on your personal skills. RT day includes a student’s pick up/drop off, warm up before test, and a rental car for the road test. 

If you want to use our car for road test! Please, confirm the availability of the car on that day/time by contacting us before booking the test! We can book road test for you if necessary.

Minimum driving time during 75/45 minutes in a 1.5/1-hour lesson or 30 minutes for the assessment.

Refund Policy:

There will be no refund for lessons that have already been started.  If a package is purchased, unused lessons can be refunded. Used lessons will be charged at the regular rate ($100/hr + GST)and the balance will be refunded. Refund requests must be made in writing to the Driving School.

Cancellations:

Cancellations must be done by email, phone, or text. Late cancellation fee might be applied. Refund timeframes and amounts:

48 hours – fully refunded, 24 hours – 50%-refunded, less than 24 hours or no show – NO refund.

For canceling a road test appointment made by the school, we require 72 hours notice, as we must notify ICBC. Failure to give us 72-hour notice may result in a late cancellation fee being charged by ICBC ($25).

Students must always:

  • carry a valid learner’s license with them,
  • be physically, mentally, and emotionally ready for a lesson,
  • dress appropriately for a lesson and weather conditions,
  • be on time.

 

DO YOU WANT CLASS 6 motorcycle license in future? Here is a smart tip from ICBC.  “If you are working toward your passenger vehicle license and your motorcycle license at the same time, and you have a class 7/8, (pass knowledge test + MST) license YOU CAN CHOOSE to take class 5 or 6 road test.
